Whenever (:not often, though!) I question whether photography is worth studying and devoting so much time to, I look at pictures by Robert - and as cheesy as it does sounds - it all falls into place. Photography, the way I see it (hoho), is just as important and crucial as any economist or teacher or doctor. Obviously, not in the same and direct way, but it's so important to document what's happening in the world today, also through a lens.
